I am a mom of two young girls, 3 and 6 years old. I know first-hand how hard it is to run a household, manage the lives of many and be the mom you want to be. So often we catch ourselves trying to get one more thing done before we can sit and color the picture or read the story with our kids.
I caught myself in the vortex of running around in circles trying to keep our house a way that made me feel good, while I was missing out on the most important moments - the moments that mean the most to my kids and will shape who they become. It became apparent to me that there had to be a better way of keeping our house in a manner that didn’t resemble a burglary scene, but still having the time and energy to get down on the floor to play with my kids when they needed me the most.
I had been in healthcare for 15 years and knew a lot about creating systems to streamline processes and spaces to maximize efficiencies while eliminating waste. I also knew a lot about the impact our environment can have on our life and that a cluttered or chaotic space can make it very hard to focus and be present. Our brains makes it almost impossible! One day I decided to be more intentional and start simplifying our home and creating better systems, leveraging my professional experience and knowledge. This journey has helped me to spend less time running around like crazy trying to pick up after our kids, show up as the mom that inspires my kids to be kind and patient, and our home to be a more enjoyable space.
I quickly learned that I was not alone in this struggle and this is what moved me to create Life Made Simple. If I can help one more family to spend a little more time around the dinner table or a little less yelling on the way out to the door to school each morning, then I have made an impact.
When I work with clients, we focus on those areas in your home that are causing the stress - the cluttered kitchen counter, the overflowing toys in the playroom, the closet that makes you anxious every time you enter. These spaces deplete you of your energy, time, money and cause strains on your relationships. The goal is not to have the perfect space, but to create a space and a system that creates a sense of calm and allows you to feel confident that you can restore order even when life gets a little nutty- because it will.
I look forward to joining you on your journey to simplify your space and be more present.
